2006 6spd Traction Issues
I recently purchased a 2006, V6, 6spd Accord. I have noticed that it has horrible traction upon hard acceleration. It just simply spins the tire. Even if I jump on it at 20 to 25mph it still just roasts the tire until near redline and will burn it up with a quick shift to second. This is great if you're 16 years old and want to show off, but it rather annoying if you're trying to accelerate hard under normal driving conditions. Any suggestions?
It has almost new Primewell PZ-900 tires. They are a directional off brand that can be purchased at any Firestone dealer.
I know the car does not have a limited slip diff, but the articles I read complained of mild torque steer. It's hard to have torque steer if you don't have traction.
Thanks

uhm how about not getting into the throttle? those area prolly cheap tires with limited traction anywhays....and name one reason you need to get on it hard like that other than mergin on a short ramp......
driving like that is going to kill your axles, trans, and engine, and shorten the life of ye old $1,000+ to replace timing belt......

Are you sure your car has an LSD fitted??
It "should" tighten up distributing the power to the other side if there is wheel spin, perhaps your LSD is buggered??
Another thing may be the suspension is already worn or damaged??
Are the Tyres wide enough for the car??

Ok, lets go through some things.
Just stepping on it from a stop DEFINITELY should spin the tires (even my 98 Accord can do that). Throttle modulation is key to keeping traction (And I'm not saying you aren't doing that, just saying that as a general fact).
You should not be using 1st for a 20 roll. You are just asking it to spin the tires as you are most likely (I cant say for sure as I don't own a 2006 v6) right in your prime powerband.
As others have suggested, you may want to try better tires if you REALLY need traction. Oh, and please post in the appropriate forum next time (2003-Current).
Hope some of this helped. Good luck.
