What Octane of Fuel Do You Use?
i used 91 octane all the time and thinking of going back to 89 only when the gas price goes up to $4 lol
and if your gonna ask me which gas station, i go to chevron
and one of the gas station here in LA is selling 100 octane (racing gas) but its too pricey $8 per gallon but i wanna try tho even just once

Anybody who has a K20A3 should be using 87 octane fuel as you will not see any benefits from using 91. The A3 isn't tuned to use 91 octane fuel like the A2!
I've heard a lot of things about what gas a car should run but definitely never heard this before...
Well actually, your ECU will tune itself in a way to adjust for using premium gas. I've always used premium gas in my EP. The day that I let a buddy drive my car of course he fills it up before he gave it back to me and he used 89 when he did. Not only did I notice my car didn't perform or run as well, but it also got worse gas mileage.

i only use 93. i thought that since its a cleaner fuel that it would help with a cleaner burn inside the combustion chamber. i know that the ecu could adjust slightly for the difference in fuel. i also thought that the higher octane fuel would reduce the risk of detonation, especially when you are the type of driver that drives hard often. not a 100% on that though.
i use 93 and i want to change my fuel lines so i can start to run E85, the stations are coming up more around my area.....
