hey guys im having and issue with this vehicle its and 88 civic dx with a d15b7 block head and still stayed obd0 im having trouble with it not starting i have fuel and i have spark the only thing is it backfires out of the intake manifold when i try to turn it overit cranks good and im not throwing any codes i dont understand any ideas will be helpfull thanks!!

 

hmm , wonder if you jumped a tooth on your timing ?
Or mabe your dizzy took a shat...lol

 

Like Rex said, check your timing and your dizzy.. and report back with your findings.

 

well time is good no tooth jumping involved dizzy on the other hand might be carbon tracking and sparking all the time lol umm took it apart and found a couple corroded wires and one that wasnt attached very well also a piece of material chipped off the magnet

 

lol. Buy a new one or try to get one from a yard. Or you could try to salvage yours.

 

thats what im working on right now lol i have an obd1 dizzy that im gonna try and rewire lol ill keep you posted

 

yeah check your timing, and your spark plug wires make sure there in the right place.
