Iam gunna paint my 97 4dr Civic And wanted to no how much paint/clear coat iam gunna need to paint the whole car(door jams and engine bay too)Thanks alot guys!

 

Are you repainting it a whole different color or just the same color? If you're doing a color change, I'd get at least 1-1.5 gallons of base paint cause after reducing it, you'll have 2-3 gallons of paint depending on the mixture ratio. You might not need it all, but it's good to have some left over just in case if something goes wrong. As for clear, you'll probably be fine with just a gallon of clear.

 

Buy 1 gallon of color, and get needed reducer. That should be more than enough... Also as said above if changing color, there's a chance you will need more.

 

yes iam doing a color change.So paint wise all i need is 1.5 gallons paint,reducer and one gallon clear.

 

Are you doing the door jambs, engine bay, trunk jambs and all?

Gallon color plus reducer and one gallon clear more than enough for that car as long as you use a proper sealer that will blend well with your color it will make it easier for coverage PPG DBC is awsome paint and for clear DC4000 or 2042 the dbc paint is a 1 to 1 mix so a gallon will make 2 after reduced so you'd have plenty left to

I think one gallon is sufficient but you need to buy reducer with it....it is sufficient to paint in this much....If you are not satisfied you can just contact dealor he will guide you right way
