Anyone wanna help? WTF IS MY FUEL PUMP!!!???
Ok, took out the back seats in the hatch. Got the cover plate off. There's supposed to be a plate now. I have a little black cover w/ a plug going in to it; not a plate w/ the fuel pump under it. When I unplug the electrical connection, rotate the black cover, and pull the piece out; it is the little floater that tells how much fuel is in the tank... Am I a total idiot and am looking in the wrong place or what here? I thought that once I took that top cover off, the bottom cover would be ther w/ the 10mm bolts and the fuel pump directly under that...

If you're working on a CRX, then yes you must drop the tank. I did it like 5 or 6 times. It's gotten to the point where I can drop the tank in less than half an hour!
Ok; I was hoping I wouldn't have to...but looks like I am. Guess the fuel pump isn't getting installed today then.
What all do I need to do now to drop the tank?

Check your Manual
Actually its really easy.
-run most off the gass out or drain the tank by removing the drain bolt.
-there are 2 straps that hold the tank up
-loosen the bolts on the straps unhook them when they are loose.
-lower tank so you can get access to the banjo bolt. Remove banjo bolt and the return line.
-remove tank plate bolts and the pump will come out.

Thanks. I loaned my Chilton to a friend a couple of weeks ago, and have regretted it about 32 times as of now. I'll see if I can find the link to the Civic/CRX shop manual online and use that.

Don't even bother - it's very simple. As previosly mentioned, take off the fuel line covers, stick a jack under the tank, take off the two straps, lower the tank some, remove the return line and the banjo bolt for the main line on top of the fuel pump housing, and drop er down! When you put it back up, you have to shimmy it up the 2 straps, rest it on the exhaust heat shielding, and slide the jack underneath to jack it up.
Edit: I forgot to mention : Bleed the fuel pressure at the fuel filter and gas cap, other wise gas will **** everywhere. Don't forget to remove the filler neck and the small vent tube right beside it. I would HIGHLY recommend replacing all those stupid ghey squeeze hose clamps with screw on type ones. You'll thank yourself if you have to drop the tank again, ever.

put a piece of wood between the jack and the tank
(sigh) new undercoat time.
Ghetto rulz. Hey 89y49, what kind of symptoms were you having when your fuel pump went????
Yeah, I'm interested in the symptoms too; cuz I am not sure if my problem is my fuel pump, injectors, or what? I tried the ignition side already, and I'm FI so I know I'm getting air; so fuel is next on the list. I have replaced the filter and that didn't do anything. I get hesitation/misses at idle and when I give it slight gas while in gear. It's worse in the lower gears, and not as bad in the upper. I also just don't feel like I'm getting the power I should from her. I got the 255lph to be able to handle the boost; but I'm hoping it will solve my other problem too. I'm boosting on a 160k fuel pump and injectors right now, and wanted to stop that asap.

Yeah, I am getting a light tomorrow from work, so I am going to make sure I'm running right on that.
The gdamn seats wont work. I can't take the brackets off mine either b/c the rails on the new ones are mounted wider than the rails on the old ones. The old rails are about say a foot apart and the new ones are like 15" apart. I am going to have to either drill holes in my floor, or get new ones. I didn't try the door panels yet; but I think they will prolly work.

To tell you the truth Cbrman, I don't think that it was my fuel pump. I think it was ignition. Now my car is idling like azz
Stupid thing. Hey Pelotudo, I would replace it just to be safe. Now I have a nice new 190 lph Holley slurping gas in there. Only thing is, it's for a 94+ Integra, so the strainer and pickup sit higher. I flipped them backwards and mounted the pump backwards, and it was all good. If you're unsure that you're getting the right amount of fuel, get an in car guage and an adjustable FPR.
