Default Looking 2 buy a B18C Head from a reputable web site.

I've been frantically looking for a B18C Head/Valve Cover from a reputable web site. Like JDM-online.com etc. But I haven't came up with anything. Everything I've found is P2P type thing or its a full swap. Any1 kno a website that I can just buy 1 that's guaranteed? B16A would work to but I wanna stick with the B18C. Anything you guys can throw at me would b great

Lol ya.well let me clarify. I wanna do a LS/Vtec soon and from wat I've read it sounds like ill need the LS/vtec swap kit and a B series Valve cover and a B series vtec head? Is this correct if not then maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing. Sum1 just wrecked my EJ2 and I'm getting a nice settlement soon.

if your going ls-vtec, you should go with the b16 vtec head,b18c also works but i heard b16 will be beter for ls-vtec

yea for a lsv you need a b18 a or b (ls) block, a B series vtec head, and i like the golden eagle LSV conversion kit. you will need a ECU that will support vtec as well. and last but not least dont forget a tune.

the b18c head is better then a b16, its a type r head. the b18C1 is the gsr head which will be outflowed by a b16 head. IMO the b16 head w/ a valve grind and some valve work is just as good as a type r head... as long as its running the ITR cams.

Lol that's wat I thought. I already have the GSR lined up that I'm getting. And I have my xmas list to myself lined up also :-). I got everything prepped and ready to order after I get my check. But I'm missing 1 important part. I am missing my vtec head. I found a vavle cover I want and even the ecu I want, and I am getting the GE kit it looks the most promising to me. But I'm still missing a VTEC head

Type r head better than b16 head? Of course it is. A type r head IS a b16 head.... But with a port and polish and upgraded valvetrain. So by upgrading your valvetrain and pnp you are making it a type r. And if your going to buy a head just to rip everything out and replace it anyways; why are you looking for a "guaranteed operational" head?

Anyways you said your looking for a gsr head not a type r. And imo b16>gsr.
B16 flows better and has better intake manifold (almost like type r) and the gsr's ugly a$$ double butterfly manifold aint helping.
B16 is much easier to come by
The ONLY thing the gsr has is that it raises compression a little because of its combustion chamber but you can achieve higher compression by other means like a thinner gasket.

So really think out Why you want the gsr head as opposed to the b16. And reconsider to see if its worth spending more cash
