wire harness question please help

Default wire harness question please help

hello i have a 1991 hatch dx and i recently purchased a d16a6 motor with si engine harness and since i dont want to cut any wires im going to buy a complete si interior harness from a guy so i can basically just plug and play but this is my problem i called the guy today to ask him if he still had the harness and he said he does and that is out of the car aswell so is there any way just by looking at it to see if it is a real si harness and not a dx i just don t want to spent $50.00 dlls for something i dont need thanks for your help

does the harness come with an ecu or an instrument cluster?

Check for four injector clips instead of two?? If you know of where to get another one of these please PM me....I'm doing the same thing now.

i finally figure it out im lucky it is an si harness the guy told me he is bringing another si maybe next week ill let you now if he does hondaholic13 thanks s for the help.

wait...whyy are you changing interior harnesses? whats the purpose? orr is this the engine harness your getting

im changing the interior harness because my hatch is a dx and i dont want to cut any wires to do the mpfi swap unless anyone else nows another way to do the job without cutting any wires

it is way easier to run 4 wires to the engine than to rip apart your whole car to get the interior harness out. trust me ive converted dozens of ef's to multi point already and the way youre trying to do it has been attempted and failed many times. some of the plugs one the SI interior harness are not the same as the dx interior parts. that usually when i was called to go fix the mess and put the dx harness back on the car. the dx engine harness that your car comes with is the only one that will work. im not saying it cant be done but be careful. read up on the multi point swap before you pull out your under dash/whole interior harness.
it isnt hard at all.this is the easiest one.

xthekidx thanks for letting me now that the plugs dont match i would have been i alot of trouble i guess i'll have to try it myself its just that i've never doned soldering before

soldering isnt brain surgery...heat up wire with soldering iron...touch hot wires with solder...solder melts..heatshrink or tape up connection..presto! you can do it my friend
