Default crx steering wheel loose.

just when i think i get one problem fixed if find 2 more...

Went to get a inspection sticker on my crx today... seems as though the whole steering column kind of moves back and fourth,,,, i changed the pedals in the crx and put everything back to the way it was on the steering coulmn...

my ? is does/did the nuts that hold the column up have washers on it to keep it still that seems to be where is moves at.

Back and forth as in up-down or in-out?
If the steering wheel is moving in and out, there is play at the coupler. You have to remove the plastic cover near the floor and check that coupler. It could be that the screw is loose or at worst, stripped and the shaft is free to move inside the coupler.

I feel your pain, my tilt isn't working either. It's not locking. I'm tried tightening the bolt that screws into the tilt mechanism, but it seems to loosen it in the normal, righty tighty fashion. So, you have to actually loosen the bolt to tighten it. Only this is, is that I can't get a good grip on the bolt. It appears to be 14mm socket, but it's not gripping tight enough. There is also a hole in the bolt, so maybe a hex will fit in there. I'm not seeing a nut on the other end where the actual tilt mechanism is at. Maybe mine has fallen off. Check to see if yours is loose, tightening it may be the fix.
