Default b16b questions

i just recently picked up a 98spec ctr motor.
right now i have an 2.5"injen short ram intake, stock jdm crx sir catback/muffler (stock 2"piping) and a 92 integra ls header. i have a chipped p28 ecu with stock ctr maps.

right now, it runs and feels great but i'm just looking for some other things to do with this motor to free up the air flow. so anybody on here that has an R motor with good advice?

like what size test pipe - exhaust piping - intake and all that stuff.

advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you

-evan

Default In order:

1) a good header (Toda replica works well on that motor)
2) 2.5" or larger exhaust
3) bigger cams
4) tune

Best of luck with your project.

alright, so i've gather a list of things i might do this weekend.

-3" intake arm
-blox velocity stack w/filter
-rmf narrow header
-3" test pipe
-2.5" piping
-now it's either my stock jdm b16 crx muffler
-or my greddy sp2 muffler?

also, i bought the motor with a S2000 throttle body.

motor runs fine, i just want to most out of my stock ctr motor without upgrade cams and such. just basic bolt ons and a tune would be awesome lol. i'm getting 29mpg city!

Sounds like a busy weekend. Make sure you get it tuned.

tune is important

the s2000 TB makes a big difference over stock

after this

best upgrade is a

b18c crank and rods and convert to a b18c

the b16b and B18c blocks are the same

so does my wish list sound good? haha.

is there a difference in performance between a 2.5" test pipe and a 3" test pipe?

i might be using my stock exhaust because of the cops here in san francisco.
