I have a 94 integra ls automatic. It developed a problem where if i go to shift the car from park into drive 4 or D4, The D4 indicator light on the dash will not light on but i can feel it engaging. When driving the car would only shift from 1st and skip to 4th. I learned that if i slowly tap it from D4 To D3 slightly then the Light on the cluster that says D4 would light up completly and the car would shift through all the gears just fine and nicely. What could be the problem? help this is my work car.

 

it could possibly be contacts wearing out
