ok so far i've read alot but everything i read is everyone in cali, im in tennessee and my hatch has the JDM B16A in there i need to know if it'll pass emmisions... whats really needed i've never heard of BAR'd here in tennessee so if i take it up there it'll pass right? here they stick that thing up the tail pipe and look for the cat and check the gas cap

 

jdm b16a wont pass bar inspection but might pass emissions at a regular smog check facility in california in a ef/ed USDM chassis...check the laws of tennessee in your particular situation...!!!

 

i live in rutherford county as well youlll pass no prob as long as your car is running half a** decent

 

well good thats all i needed to know, it runs good so i have no worrys, there are a few things under the hood that isnt hooked up but that shouldnt be a problem i hope

 

Nope won't look under your hood either, funny thing is the one in smyrna is run by a dude with a itr front lip on a dc, so I say go to the one in a smyrna, I've had almost race cars pass marta there.

 

alright i'll go there then when its time, shouldnt one hose from the charcoal canister go into the throttle body?

 

Damn that's sickkkk in cali they won't even start the test if they suspect a swap lol

 

yeah im so glad i live here... i was reading all that stuff about emmisions and it was all from cali so thats the reason i asked... its the first swap i had so i didnt know

 

another question to add to this... on my exhaust i have no cat its just striaght pipe and i know that wont pass and the o2 sensor close or on the header there aint hooked up and i have no cat.. is the car supose to have two o2 sensor's? and i gotta get a cat no matter what to pass emmisions so would a high flow cat be better then putting a OEM cat back on there? or what cat do i run on the B16a?
