Acura CL - Problem with electronic signal modifier?
My buddy has a 2003 Acura CL. He is currently experiencing problems at WOT around 40mph, and the Acura dealership thinks its related to a Comptech Electronic Signal Modifier that they found.
His car is naturally aspirated, so its possible someone previously had some sort of FI, but removed it. However, this unit still remains on the vehicle, and it might be the culprit. The reason why Im coming here is because this is like the 5th time he brought his car in for diagnosing, and they still havent fixed it. Like I said, this time around they do believe its the signal modifier, but we dont know anything other than the description of the unit online.
-Would this unit cause problems on a N/A vehicle?
-Do you think its messing with the fuel/air ratios?
-Or, is this unit harmless and the vehicle should be fine?
Thanks in advance.
