What suspension do you recommend? 94 accord
Hey
I'm getting ready to do suspension and I would like some opinions. I was looking at Tokico HP series Coil-over kit for $499. It comes with the blue shocks and red springs.
I just want a good sturdy ride. I want to be low but i don't want to be slammed.
Any opinions?
Also, how much do you think I can get for my car if I were to sell it. (look at my car in my garage)
Just want to see where it stands in the market.
Thanks

5k at most almost better off parting and then selling
also gc and tokico illuminas or something if you just want to lower it and have a comfortable ride

I think with a car like yours I dont think i'd worry about owning a set of coilovers, instead i'd recommend the eiback sportlines and some agx struts, the ride height isnt too low and you can drive semi-normally while being able to adjust the dampening.
About $500 is my range. If $800 coil-overs were worth it I would spend the extra but I heard that cheap coil overs aren't worth it.
So you think I won't really get that much with a show car with an H22a that only has like 40,000 miles? Its a very clean car

Your problem is the Fast and the Furious days are long gone.
Had you sold it 10 years ago you would have netted a lot of money. No one now wants to buy a car with Z3 fenders, overly large spoiler, fiberglass enclosure that removes the rear seat, and diamond plate floor mats.

I honestly would not expect to get more than half back what you've put into it. Regardless of how recent it was done.
I spent $16k on my Accord in two years and it sold for half of that.

Muffin Man is totally correct. If I were to buy a used car I would take 2 things into consideration. Firstly, is it damaged? What would it cost me to repair it to normalcy? Then the 2nd thing is, if its modified, will it require extensive repair or change to bring the car back to a reliable normal. Both of these things matter when you consider the value you are trying to get for your money. Also, just as an added thought, if you own a modified car, ask yourself, do you have mods that arent too offensive or things most people would consider to be subtle enough to keep or scrap?
for about $130 extra, you can have a set of Func./Form Type Ones. that will give you a nice smooth ride.
listen to the Muffinman. he knows all. lol. and you boosting it would make it worse. anyone looking at it will think its another guy who just slapped a turbo on an H22 and ran the ***** out of it. listen to Muffinman. your not gonna get more than $2500-$3k for that.

another good point. someone looking at it would have to think about the money it'll cost to buy new bumpers and paint in case they dont like the stuff thats on it now.
If I owned the car, personally, I would remove the mats, the fenders, the spoiler and the body kit. I think in stock form with a nice lip kit and lip spoiler your car would look more sporty. The interior looks like a lot of work went into it but it looks like its more for show. I think instead of a turbo or something like that, I'd invest in new OEM parts for the outside and probably an air-ride suspension or something if you wanted to keep it a show vehicle.
When i started building my accord i thought to myself, what would make my car different, or what things could I do that would have my car not only look appealing to people who see it, but what would be appealing to someone if they wanted to buy it. I think a lot of what we envision in cars can sometimes be classified as excess so i tried my hardest to steer clear of that and kept it as subtle as possible. I used a lot of OEM parts from honda's & Acura's for my interior and kept it clean, subtle etc... and with my exterior, besides the mugen front lip and grill, painted CF hood and rims, you cant really see anything out of the norm.
I shaved the emblems and welded closed the holes, i got rear discs, JDM power folding mirrors, JDM headlights, i have an Eibach and KYB suspension, i mean, subtle things most people wouldn't recognize. The motor has been my main focus, building it for N/A.

I don't know. I seriously think i could get 6k for it. I see people buy completely stock high mileage cars for around 4k. I'm going to try and sell it by this summer. If I don't get at least 7, then i will just keep it and go boost.
I love those JDM headlights. How much did you spend Conflicted?

I'm on Tein S Tech springs with blue tokico shocks and its not very low either; its low enough to be known from a distance though. Ride quality is pretty good; not too stiff either.
I agree w/this, except I would go w/Illuminas or Koni Yellows over AGX 993,000 times out of a million

lmao. wow. you actually think you'll get $7k for this car? you've been smoking some dirt my friend. yeah sure you have a nice set up. but a CD5 with a swap, lip kit, JDM rims, CLEAN interior, and a nice paint job wont even get $5k. your wron gif you think you'll get $7k.
if you do, it'll most likely be some idiot rice kid with daddy and mommy's money. then all that hard work you put into it(if you did any of the wrok) will be down the drain because he'll think he has a race car because it has a swap and wreck it.
all kinds of cool **** on their website. http://www.getnrg.com/products/
I just looked at some of your more recent posts.
It seems 99% are one-liners bashing someone or something. May I ask why you joined the forum and post in the Accord section then?
You call other people immature but are coming off immature yourself. Just chill out brah
