Default Methanol injection on all-motor setups

Looked over some threads on the subject but most are pretty old (and in Forced Induction section).

I've been planning mild upgrades for the R, cams and valvetrain being the most extreme, and meth kit options have been thrown at me by my friends. Thing is they all run boosted cars, and I know the advantages with FI, but no one here has run meth on an all motor build.

Is anyone here using it with any success?

Why do you need meth in the first place if you are only doing "mild upgrades"?

If you were running high compression pistons and wanted the additional cooling and detonation prevention of meth, then go ahead...but why on a mild setup?!?

Seems like you're just doing it because your friends are.
You should go jump off a bridge because they are too!~

Nooooooooo...I didn't say I AM using it, am asking because its been suggested. Otherwise I would be on here telling you what the bottom of the river looks like.

Anyway I found a thread here discussing the theory of it, but no one actually used it on any NA honda engine. Still better info than your bridge idea...

I personally wouldn't use it on an all-motor setup. I'll be using water/meth injection on my turbo build, but it only will be "on" after I hit 8psi. That's when it will basically be evaporated and become efficient. There is a ton of info on the internet and you should really chat it up with someone at snow performance or aquamist...knowledgeable people!
