The saddest week ever, my integra :(.... help me with the insurance company.
So me and my brother were sitting at a light waiting for traffic to flow so we may continue through the light. So we were sitting there when some suck bag hit me and my brother doing 45 with a F-350.
Anyway i need help with with the insurance company. I have a really great feeling i am going to be *** ****ed by them. I have about 8 grand wrapped up in my car. I am only hoping to get 6 from the company.
what i have
- 1,500$ stereo with deck, subs, all new speaker, custom fiberglass box, and wiring.
-1,500$ jdm front end swap, i personally did the swap, but i am sure an average bodyshop/ import place would charge like 250$ to do it.
-95 4 door integra LS, i paid $4,200 2 years ago. It only has 154,000 miles. body is in good condition, but the swap wasn't painted yet, but i have the money to paint it i was just waiting for it to warm up. lol
-short ram intake 65$
-magno flow muffler 50$
-15" konig feathers with toyo spectrum tires about 900$
-tenzo R black rally seat i paid 50$ but the seat goes for 300$ with rails i believe, and is in excellent condition.
so as you can see, 6 grand is fair and i would be losing money.
I ll post some pics, of before and after. lol and tell me if you think 6 grand is fair. Honestly..?

154k mile 95 4 door LS? There is no way you'll get anything even close to $6k from insurance. The car isn't even worth the $2,700 KBB prices it at (assuming it was "excellent condition", which it wasn't), since its modified. NADA doesn't list it worth more than $4k retail, which means around $3k for its value.
Stereo mods don't add value, and you can pull all of it from the wreck before they total the car. The illegal front certainly doesn't add value, and insurance will only see it as a color mis-matched vehicle at best.
Good luck. You'll certainly need it to get more than $3k.

My question is do you think i can get 6 grand out of it, with everything i have wrapped up in it. I know its done and yes it made me cry. Especially the fact me and my bro both fractured 3 vertebrae between us both. lol, and the bro has a lacerated liver.

You won't get more than $3000. If it is salvage they will deduct it from that. Which insurance company is this? Did you open a claim through your own or the other party? You will get more if it is going through their insurance. They will cooperate each and every way because if they don't you can sue them. If you had opened a claim through your insurance it won't be good at all. They will low ball you. Now your premium may go up but since it is not your fault then that might not happen. Think about it, any insurance don't want to lose money especially to their own client. It is business. True story, I have a 95 RS, I just recently got t-boned on the driver side and still waiting for my check. It has been a week and two days. My front end is salvageable since it was hit on my left fender and driver door. The car is in the back yard putting up for sale but all day long, all I get is low ballers. $500 for a complete running car with jdm front? Get the Eff outta here. Good luck with the ordeal. I was upset, pissed off but now, just be happy that you ARE BREATHING. PM if you have any questions.

I will prolly get around 5,500$
Everything in the vehicle that can be proven of being in the vehicle has to be paid for, but it will be depreciated.
The wheels and tires with 95% tread.
the stereo
the intake
the seat
everything has to be paid for, NADA is 4,400$ retail so i will more than likely make 3-3,500$ on the car, and about 2,200$ on the upgrades.
i am not worried now. Thanks guys, but it seems like alot of you guys have been takin advantage of by insurance companies. This is not going to happen to me. I also appreciate everyone's help.
I plan on buying the salvage on buying it back, for parts. If its cheap.
I am sorry to hear about your injuries.
Big F350 vs. import compact is a terrible mismatch.
While you are young you will think that you can recover from your injuries. You will never fully recover and when you get past 40 and you can not turn your head (without twisting your entire chest) and you can not get a job...you will wish you had gotten a lawyer.

You seem to have the mindset that the insurance company has to pay for this & pay for that - reality will soon creep in.
If you want your money back, get yourself a lawyer and get ready to take the guy to court.
For now, I'm going to subcribe to this thread and I'll check back around this time next year. Again, best of luck.
Thanks and i hope also

All i can do is hope guys, and get a lawyer for the car if they want to screw me. Right.
Well first off Im glad you guys are ok, second your better off parting it out and get what you can from parts you put in, third sue the **** out of the guy. I did the same back in 98 and got 32,000 for it.

take your 3k, get the car back. do what you want with the front end and keep the stereo.
asking 6k reminds me of the craigslist cars that never sell.
I was in a crash if its ruled the other persons fault you will get the money you want. Being that you and your brother where injured you will get some cash for that. I did not have to get a lawyer. just push there insurance company around a little. the insurance company gave the passenger in my car money i think it was 17k the passenger was not even wanting to sue them or anything. maybe i have good insurance. I was given 10K for my 04 gti 90K miles and insurance paid my doctor bills. With out even asking i was gave 5k for pain and suffering. I was hit by a drunk driver with no insurance and he was carrying 4oz mary jane with all kind of pills in his truck. i think i busted a local drug dealer lol
...depends on the company really, most insurance companies will not cover any modifications unless they are listed in the policy and they know about them. Since you are going through the other company I would definitely get legal assistance to prevent you from getting screwed. The hardest part for you at this point will be to be able to prove how much your modifications are worth including depreciation...etc...good luck.
