Clutch petal goes to the floor, tried bleeding but the fluid in the reservoir wont go
1994 Prelude S F22A1
the other day i forgot to put the cap back on the clutch fluid reservoir and drove around with it off for 2 days no problems. yesterday i was working on the car, removing all the interior then i went to pull it into the garage and i pushed the clutch and it hit the floor. no resistance whatsoever. i has just used the car maybe 2 hours earlier with no problems. i tried pumping it and nothing. i refilled the reservoir and pumped it again. nothing. and the fluid level wouldnt go down. well after inspecting the master and slave cylinders i decided they need to be replaced anyways. so i just put in the new slave and master cylinders refilled the reservoir, open the bleeder on the slave a little fluid came out after i pumped the clutch, the level in the reservoir dropped slightly. i topped it off, opened the slave, and pumped again and now the level wont go down again and the clutch petal still drops. whats wrong here?

Keep bleeding it. Have someone help you bleed it. It's a hassle doing it by yourself and you can't trust those "one man" bleeding kits.
when bleeding the clutch i use the one man method with some hose and a half full container of brake fluid connected to the bleeder. then just pump the brakes and make sure the res is always topped off. has always worked in the past.
Regardless, you'll have your best results with two people without a vacuum pump - one to hold the pedal at the same time one releases the slave cylinder. It's worthless to pump the clutch pedal, leave it up, and then crack the bleeder. Make sure the pedal is down when the bleeder is opened up.
Thanks guys, i feel like an idiot. so i just went through and made sure everything was tight then just kept pumping the pedal and eventually it started working! hope this post helps someone out in the future! JUST KEEP PUMPING!
