help,niether e-brake or line-lock holds
OK,here is the problem, when i 1st went to the track,i would use the ebrake to hold the car in the burnout box.I would have to really really yank it to make it hold or the car would either roll foward or yank off to one side. The last straw came with using the ebrake when it knock me out of the semi's of a bracket race i was in because i left the ebrake a couple of clicks engaged
So i tried to fix it and bypass the ebrake altogether with the install of a line lock set-up,i installed one line-loc solenoid on each brake line running to the rear. After all the hassle of putting it in and engaging the loc,the fuccing car does the same thing as with the ebrake, doesnt hold it solid, but if i lock the line-loc and use the ebrake at the same time, the car feels like itll hold back a locomotive,it could sit there and spin the tires on dry pavement without it moving an inch.ok let me give some brief detail about my car,its a 91 Si with rear drums, everything has been changed and is new, drums, shoes, cylinders, springs and hardware, cables, anyone else have such a problem?

I think one of your problems is lack of power. Maybe have them spray a little more water in the box. If you want the car to hold at the line, put the line locks on the front. That way your able to preload the clutch for better reaction time and those are the drive wheels and they will be locked up so you wont redlight....Mike
Yeah...I was gonna have a 2 way stageing brake in my car. I was gonna have it so when when I pushed it forward, it would only lock up the back brakes for doing burnouts. then when u pulled it back, it would lock up the fronts. If you lock the fronts, you can preload the clutch better without rolling the line.
hey ninesecrx, you using line loc? if so,with drum?
ive seen in a few FWD race cars with this long 2-3 foot handle sticking straight up,i believe they use this as some sort of line loc, anyone ever see such a setup close up? is there a master cylinder or something(maybe cables?) attached to the bottom of that long handle? i believe i seen it in L`Natural CRX.

That long bar your reffering to is a staging brake. Its just like a hydrolic E-brake. I dont use a line lock, I use one of these. You can use both these on drum brakes.
