(long and pretty pointless, just venting)


I have been in a real bad mood lately because of numerous reasons that I wont go into detail about. Yesterday I was out cruisin with a buddy when all the sudden I smell something. I look down to see smoke pouring out of the bottom of my dash. I shut my car off and coast into a gas station. The whole car is full of smoke. I rip off the fuse cover and I see this wire is just glowing orange. I pulled the power to the battery and waited for the whole thing to cool down. Under closer examination, some wire was routed above the stereo metal rack and I guess from just years of driving it wore a hole in the wire and shorted it out. A grip of my interior wires go melted together. I got some of it fixed today but not all of it. I am kinda just venting. sorry for the long post.

its ok i feel ya....i had a similar problem....one day i go to start my car and when i cranked it, it started but the check engine light came, barely idled, and didnt have any throttle response....turn it off....looked under the dash....saw some smoke and smelled something burning...from then on, sometimes it started fine and sometimes it didnt run right.....i have to let the car sit for a bit and then it'll work....this happend about a month before i sold it.......never did find out what was wrong with it

 

That why I want a new car. ...my car stinks too sometimes.
