This motor is starting to get to me lol Ls/vtec 84mm gsr head. I start the car let it warm up take it out for a spin and only take the car too 3k rpms.. After a min of driving it i got to accel quick and i feel the engine start missing and the smoke just pours out the exhaust.

Then i feel the motor run smooth and the smoke will stop. While driving on the freeway no problem. Get off and accel and then it will start again. There's about 600miles on it...Darton sleeves

So do i have to replace the rings? I'm getting ready to do a leak down test

 

I have the same issue, I am assuming it's because the rings haven't seated yet and the oil burning is just blow back.

 

ok i redid the compression test again and with the car at a warmer temp i got 175 across the board and mybe i wasn't doing the leak down test right but a didnt get but like 0 to 1percent leak down
