My air horns stopped working...can't figure out what is wrong!!!
I've had hella air horns in my car for a couple years...I love them. A couple weeks ago they stopped working for some reason. I can't figure out what the problem is. I checked the wiring, replaced the relay, tried a new compressor, checked the fuse...all looked ok to me. What am I missing...any ideas on what it could be.
Have any of you guys with air horns had them go out on you? If so what was the culprit.

I've heard the compressors can go out after a few years but you've already replaced that.... re-check all the wiring and grounds especially at the connections....have you checked the fuse for the horn switch? how about the fuse from the relay to the battery? when you press the horn switch do you hear the stock relay click on? when do press the horn switch do you hear the hella relay click on? have you tried having a friend press the horn switch while your at the compressor to hear if it goes on/whirs? also have you looked inside the trumpets and air hoses to see if there are any obstructions? take off the air tube and have a friend press the horn switch.. if all the relays click on and the air compressor activates then maybe there is some debris/obstruction stuck in the trumpets... if the compressor doesn't kick on.. then check the connections, the fuses, the relays.. and check the new compressor.... these are things I would trace/check if mine went out
when mine go out.. I'm going to replace them w/ the Hella Supertones (electric airhorns)...
