how do you remove sticky heater hoses
hey am going to swap over my hoses to my new engine but i cant get the hoses off on the engine side, are there any quick methods to remove the hoses like some sort of solvent or something?
If you have a hose removal tool like this, it makes quick work of it.
They specifically make this for removing hoses, OTC 4521 Hose Removal Tool. But, you may be able to find something that could substitute.

I use any combination of twisting the hose while pulling, or twisting/pulling while prying the edge of it away from the engine...
it sounds like you're wanting to reuse your hoses... i most often replace hoses once they're at the point they stick really well (not that that is needed in all cases, but that's what i do..) so i just slit them lengthwise with a utility blade, being careful to not damage the metal pipe underneath. then they can be peeled off. quick and easy

Cut them to get them off and get new ones.
