Default Looking to take the slop out of my DC2, opinions?

This is my daily for the time being and the only modifications I'm going to be performing will be suspension related. As much as I would like to replicate some of the gorgeous setups I've seen on here I don't want to spend the ching to get it. I'm spending enough money on the hb project and I don't want that to stall while getting this car up to snuff. That said, I don't believe in cheap parts but I do believe in spending money effectively. This car will never be a race car (well, not in the foreseeable future), so I don't need the ultimate 10/10ths setup, I just want to make the car fun to drive on an everyday basis. So hit me with what, in your opinions, is the most cost effective way to improve the car? I'm pretty settled on an illumina kit so I'm mostly looking for opinions on tower bars, sway bars, etc. Thanks for the help.

Don't worry about tower bars, get some new bushings instead.

What bushings will have the biggest impact? I'd thought about that but I'm also trying to avoid a seemingly endless project that has my car apart longer than it needs to be. Can I just replace the major bushings and reap the benefit or is the the kind of thing that you have to do 100% or not at all?

Rear trailing arm and front compliance are the major. Everything else will still have a profound impact on taking the slop out.

SO bushings all around, the illumina kit and a good rear sway bar and brace should have me driving right?

If you're just talking about vagueness when you mention "slop" then just bushings. If you're talking about stability in the corners then bushings, springs/dampers, sway bars, etc.

I want a responsive, flat car that handles predictably and without the absurd amount of understeer that's built into the stock suspension. What would you do to get the car where I want it for under $1000?
