Im a new member and i just picked up a 97 honda civic dx hatchback with a 97 gsr swap. i need help as to what i need to do and what parts i need to get the car bard' before i get pulled over. i know that the engine bay needs to look exactly like a 97 gsr. right now it has an intake, headers, no ac, no ps, no cat and no name muffler. Also is there a certain site or previous thread that has info and specifics on how to bar a b18c1 in a civic.
any help or advice will be much appreciated thanks

 

You engine bay dosent need to be the same EXACT. need all smog components, right ecu for the engine, carb legal or oem air box and exhaust manifold. no fuel pressure regulator no nothing just stock motor i know i missing others but all i can think of...

 

will i need to get a different ecu since mine is ob2 jump to obd1

 

take your jumper harness off and get a OBD2a p72 ecu your stock plugs will work since you stated you have a 97 with also a 97 engine

 

u need a obd2a ecu, carb sticker for all aftermarket parts,evap parts must past, smog must past sniffer, n most important ur monitors ALL have to be set to ready

 

What would be even better is, take high resolution pictures of your engine bay from different angles. Therefore we can tell you exactly you might need and might not need.

Look under your hood and the evap emission sticker it will tell you everything

 

u need charcoal canister, cat, stock intake from whatever year ur motor is
