electrical mess...
ok. to start things off here, i'm no new jack when it comes to electrical troubleshooting. here goes...98 Accord LX sedan. Got this car as a daily. When i got it the door locks didn't work and the power windows were sketchy. What appeared to be unrelated was that the wiper switch was bypassed to an on/off switch on the dash. After some searching i found the procedure for waking up the multiplex system and got to the point where i am now. i restored power to the wiper switch only to find that the wipers would not turn off when switched to "off". i forgot about the park switch in wiper motors and immediately just ordered a new wiper switch. needless to say when i replaced the wiper switch it did the same thing. the multiplex wake up procedure requires you to have key off, switch wiper intermittent to medium, key on, check windows and door locks and voila!....well not for me. so i guess here's my question...if the park switch was bad in the wiper motor...would it not allow me to perform the multiplex wake up?
The wipers need a ground through the intermittant relay to park. The relay feeds the wiper switch for park/int. The multiplex turns on this relay.
Do the wipers work when in int mode? Do they work in low/high?
If they dont work in int but do in low/high, I would suspect the multiplex is the problem. Plus problems with windows and locks would point towards the multiplex.

wipers work in all modes. they do speed up in high, but wont turn off at all. i have 3 different master switches for the windows (where the multiplex is) and same result with all. question is if the park switch is bad in the motor will it allow me to properly do the multiples wake up?
