Default Head studs

I'm rebuilding the head on my B16b and the only thing that is changing is that i'm putting in BC Spec 3+ cams. Do i need ARP head studs or am i good with OEM?

why would you need ARP head studs for just changing cams, do you know what ARP head studs were designed for

acutally it was not answered. the only thing discused in this thread was upgrading valve train. as far as the head studs go. the oem bolts are a torque to yeild bolt so after you remove them they do not have the original strength any more. many people have resused them with sucess but as far as a piece of mind the arps are not that pricey and are good insurance.

This isn't an answer?

Point blank, he doesn't need ARP head studs. Most people/builds only need head bolts. People that try and reuse them is a different story.

jeez the direction this simple thread is going in is a perfect example of why im starting to realize just how much of a waste of time and space h-t really is for the most part

i may just decide to stop visiting this forum soon

and no you dont need headstuds unless you have extremely high cylinder pressure, for example high compression (14:1+) or boost

it is perfectly ok to re-use your stock headbolts at least a few times before throwing them out
