95 civic ABS light on
My 95 civic ABS light comes on around 10 seconds after starting the car.
Once starting I can hear the Pump come on then go off then come back on and then go off and throw up the light. If I shut the car of and restart it, it will be fine. It only happens once every 6-10 starts.
I tried testing the ABS out in a wet parking lot going about 30. I slam on the brakes followed ABS working for half a second, then I lose traction, I hear the pump come on and it throws the ABS light up.
How can I diagnose what the problem is.

Clean them anyway, pull wires and reconnect them, and if nothing else, remove it and switch to normal. ABS junk is too expensive to fix for what it is, unless you're set on keeping it to keep the resale value higher.
Hi
I have this problem with a 94 Civic (180E Ballade (SA model name for Civic sedan) just pre-VTEC). ABS light now stays on permanently.
Does anyone know the error codes for ABS testing?
I've been told one can short the ABS wires near the computer box (the plug with 2 wires - brown and black wires) and then to observe the warning codes generated by the ABS light. If ABS stays on long its a 10, if it short its a 1.
Can anyone confirm this?
