Default Header

Im currently in Iraq and Im getting a ITR swap for my ls. Was wondering if anyone had some ideas on a decent header, my budgets like 1k, problem is my cars slammed and im trying to find something with decent ground clearance.

I would recommend you consult with Hytech,SMSP, Bisimoto and SSR and see which one of them will build you a header tailored to your situation. They all build quality headers and tailor can tailor them to your specific engine build, however I don't know which ones, if any, will build you a header specifically for a slammed vehicle due to possible warranty issues, but I would recommend contacting all four of these companies and see what they can do for you and then ultimately make your own decision.

You have heard wrong and have been misinformed. SMSP, Hytech, Bisimoto, and SSR are the top 4 header builders (in no particular order) and all of these builders build headers for your specific motor, not just some one size fits all header like a DC sports header or an off the shelf header, although there is nothing wrong with a DC or any other OTS header, its just that they aren't tailored to your specific engine build. All of the aforementioned companies have dyno proven results, perform a search here as well as on your favorite internet search engine with any of their names and you will see their proven results in many aspects.

The ground clearance is soo good with the SMSP, the header is up as high or higher than the stock pipes. Powerwise, they are always at the top if not the top in many tests.

Both the Bisimoto V2 and SSR Sweeper have the final merge collector before the turn underneath the oilpan. These two probably have the best ground clearance, since the only exhaust component under the oilpan is the 'downpipe' exiting the merge collector.
