Are you serious right now? Youve given no information whatsoever. Youve given us no lead as to what your goals are or even your budget. This is like asking what shoes you should buy

Go with the stilletos.

ok sorry? Im planning on boosting and having a reliable fast car.

Right now i have a d16z6 block with vitara pistons, eagle h beam rods, and golden eagle block guard which i was suppose to be boosting.

But then im looking at this h22 with cp pistons and crower rods. Wit a compression to 9:1

Im just asking which motor would u guys pick?

H22a for the price, i miss mine alot. SOHC are outdated, for the price you could swap in a reliable H series and have more room for boost later.

d-series are built better than h series because of the sleeves, in which boosting a d series as oppose to the h would last longer in the d. also, d's are cheaper for parts and a lot simpler to build and walk all over h's. keep the D!! or get a LS

The H will have more power off the line, plain and simple. No replacement for displacement. The SOHC will get better gas mileage and be lighter and easier/cheaper to work on. If you're going to swap a engine in that's larger than 2 liters, build a G23. The F23A1 blocks are cheap and it's said to be a K killer and ready to boost.
Boost can be reliable, but the same is said with anything. It all depends on the quality of parts and attention to detail...like having a proper tune.

Aren't they also REALLY tall? Maybe I am paranoid about it, but oil pan clearance is an issue I want to cover. I would hate to have to run your car a lot higher, because your oil pan was too low.

both SOHC and h22 are outdated and what do you mean an h22 for the price a d16z6 can run you anywhere from 400-1000 dollars depends on how many miles and what shape it is in compared to the h22 which runs from 1300-3900 dollars, and H22's notorious for the sleeves going out. D16Z6 all the wayy

For a complete changeover for a grand you expect it to have rods, pistons and sleeves?

Said by you? Source? Lot of rumors can float around and any enegine with enough money placed in the right hands can be built to be a killer of anything.

Yikes, why would you want to buy someone else's random build? It could have been put together wrong, it could have issues with it, they could be lying. I would never buy someone's random build, it would have to be documented from a reputable builder, compression and leak down tested for me to even flinch.
