Default Cooper CS4 touring tires

Well 600 miles ago I bought a set of new tires. Cooper CS4 touring (H rated ). They make my 2000 Accord handle like a Buick. They suck. Handling is very soft and not responsive. You know the spongy feeling you get when tires are underinflated? Thats what it feels like at 35 psi. They also made my gas mileage go down to 24.7 mpg. Good thing for Coopers 45 day road test! they are going back to cooper.
