Default Looking for a shop to do a RHD conversion on a S2000. Must have experience. CA only.

The original shop that is doing RHD conversions is busy with other ventures at the moment and I wanted to check if there was other shops in CA that can do a RHD conversion on a S2000. I already have the JDM front clip.

I am looking for an experienced shop who has undertaken such of a project before and has had experience doing a RHD conversion as it is no easy task.

I'm willing to pay the price of what the original shop was going to do it for me. PM me your shop details and pass work. Thank you.

i would think twice about this, my fried had it done on an eg, cop pulled him over, and said he tampered with the vins, and impounded and crushed the car

if cop pulls you over what you gona respond when he said you tampered with the vin #'s

you cant say you didnt cause you did actually tamper with the firewall vin #

not every cop knows his laws, but some do

haha, you guys must be psychics

like i said it against the law to temper with vin#'s

so before making dumb questions

answer this question

if you get pulled over what you gonna say to the cop when he says you tampered with the vin # , my neighbor is cop and he said automatic impound

Has anyone converted a US s2000 to RHD yet? There has always been talk about how hard this would have to be or how almost impossible it would be since the JDM and US models use different firewalls.

im pretty sure this is alot harder than a civic conversion... if i remember correctly, theres an issue with the steering linkage and the exhaust manifold.... im not sure how RHD cars are, but i think they are setup way different in that aspect.

for this venture id suggest maybe just purchasing a RHD car and get it sent over... less hassle, more money though

Wow,if you move the vin plate on the dashboardl, it has nothing to do with the 3-4 other locations the vin has been stamped on the car. Like the door jam for instance and the engine bay firewall.. Have done several RHD drive swaps and it is 100% legal in all 50 states!!

There was more to that story then meets the eye..

replacing the dashboard with a different dashboard with a different VIN tag is considered tampering with VIN's and ILLEGAL in all 50 states....

The shop that I know that does RHD conversions correctly and the cleanest, is Redzone Performance. You can take a look at the RHD laguna seca blue 4 door EK that they did. Can't remember his screen name off the top of my head.

DO IT!!!! I had a RHD Hatch and got pulled over plenty of times.. Nothing happened.. Some cops even drooled at it and were amazed as to how something like that could be done.

its true tho.
no matter what you do, itll never be a real rhd s2000. that goes for all other hondas that have converted.

i think i would feel better about my self saying, "YEA I ORDERED MY S2 STRAIGHT FROM JAPAN"
instead of "I CONVERTED MY S2 TO RHD".

but thats just my OP.

There is an original RHD S2k,registered white AP1 here in south Florida, the car looks stock with AP2 V1 wheels and he will sell it for $35k.

Proper payperwork and very low miles (I think less than 25k miles).

But anyhow if you need RHD parts I have the passenger airbag and the center console.
