with crv cams, 11.8:1 compression, and timing gears...
could this be potent.. I wont have my ls/vtec for another six months but I will throw my 12:1 comp pistons and all my bottom end goodies on my engine now.
block is 86mm monster with 11.8:1 comp. (around there) I would like to know if I had the crv cams in my head if it would improver performance with this combo of high comp and slightly better cams tweeked with cam gears.
as far as i know the crv cams and ls cams are almost identical, imo i dont think it would do too much, i am assuming that you are using ls cams now?

you resleeved that beast or bored it to 86mm? damn thats huge...
Oh, he just took it to the local yocal machine shop and they said it would be fine to take the stock sleeves to 86, so he did it. You should see it!!!! Its HUGE!!!!
what kind of cam should I run for now in about 6 months I should be LS/(monster)/vtec. so in the meantime for better performance what does anyone recommend?
86mm with stock sleeves? Seems like they'd be substantially weakened. I'd try to strengthen the tops of the cylinder walls prior to doing anything stressful with that block.
