Set-up:

95 gsr(swap in my eg)
stock 95 si harness
p72 ecu

-IAB is not wired up...
-knock sensor is wired up..

Took my car out for a drive nd took off on the freeway nd it cut off at 7k..so went back home nd did some research nd some one said could be the knock sensor..tryD it..nd samething...could it be my ECU?? PLEASE HELP!!

 

Throwing any CELs, low oil ?

 

Was vtec engaging?

 

code 12..and oil was just changed last week..nd doesnt really sound like..its when vtec kicks in its lound but not how it was before..i did tryD to hook up the iab wires..but code didnt go away..so what do you guys think??

 

are you certain you ran the iab correctly from the ecu to the engine compartment and that all necessary components are there?

it may be easier to just use a single runner manifold than rewire the IAB

lack of secondaries will have the engine running out of air at 6-7k

with the ITR only a few hundred more than a GSR swap i have no idea why so many people still use the harder to setup and less powerful gsr

 

damn man mine is doin the same thing but mine wont go past 6k nd i dnt no why

 

what i read nd did my research on..correct me if wrong..there two wires on the IAB plug underneath the intake manifold..it my situation i have to put one wire to A17 nd the other wire to a 12v+ source..in my case i have a stock harnessoff 95 civic si..nd there no plug for that on the harness..so got a plug that fits in there that has 2 wires could find a wire diagram so i just pretty much wingD it..

 

if someone has a wiring diagram for the engine or just IAB would help...

 

your oil pump might be going bad man. but im not sure of it. all i can really say is recheck everything and try to reset your ecu. good luck man. let me know if anythang works
