Actually rallying has many different classes and using a FWD platform is a great place to start rallying w/o the expense and competition of the AWD/turbo cars. The ITR and many other Hondas are used all over the world for tarmac and off-road rallys. I think also that most are bought as shells or salvage titles anyways. Rallying is racing! Much better than, I have an ITR and I stretched and pulled the fender or whatever the hell the other thread is about.
I never would have though the ITR would be a good rally car, just becase it kind of contridicts what the ITR was made for, oh well. If I wanted to play in the dirt I'd want AWD or atleast RWD, but never have before, so can't really take an opinion on it yet.
FWD cars are fun on the snow and ice. I guess you can build a suspension for any kind of racing for pretty much any car. As long as you enjoy your car and use it as God intended, then you get two thumbs up!
! I remember seeing a PY ITR for sale on eBay awhile back that was built for circle track. Wonder what other racing ITR's have been used for, and whether or not they were competitive.
