From my personal experience.....

weight of the lever shouldn't matter....also, i wouldn't even waist your time with a short shifter for you car either.

You want a good upgrade, go with an oem Integra shift lever, they are dual bend and work incredibly well on 92-00 civic's. I weighted shift **** used along with the integra lever does seem to work very well, i have it done on a couple of my cars!

A lot of people are using the dual bend integra shifters... I'm actually getting ready to pick one up. Short shifters are a waste of money, use that money and get a decent bolt on. Shift ***** really don't matter either, I'm using a CTR(a real one, not ebay) and I kick myself for paying so much for such a useless part. Its all personal preference

shift ***** aren't useless. I absolutely despised the OEM Civic one and found my custom, one off piece to be far, far superior.

99% of the time I shift using the shift lever and don't even touch the ****... Got used to it from doing it to avoid getting prints and smudges on my shift **** haha. The only good point of a **** is how it fits in your hand(no homo!) Haha. Its completely stupid to spend a lot of money on a shift **** is what I was saying.

haha, very true. I grab the shifter like I'm picking something up, not like I'm grabbing a pop to take a drink, if that makes sense. Having the **** fit in my palm is the only thing that matters. I just made one in my machine tech class because I had nothing else to do and my teacher told me to find something constructive to do. The next year, I started making a cannon. haha.

Yeah, http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=25q9ezr&s=6
It's domed on the top and it's about the size of a golf ball. I have kinda small hands and it fits perfect. Unfortunately I cut a B&M short shifter down and they're tapered, so I drilled the bottom out where it threads on to allow the tapered part to fit in, so now I have to fill it with epoxy or something and fix that before putting it on something else. I'll just do that some cold winter day when I can't do anything else.
