Default turbo on an f22

Whats up guys i'm thinking of putting a turbo on my f22 its got a little over a 100k miles on it but i don't know all that much about turbos so i'm wondering who makes the good stuff (turbos that is) and what extra steps do i have to take to get the motor ready? i know "get an h22 ***" but moneys tight and i'll probly get the h22 later down the line. Just let me know thanks guys.

you need crower rods to beef up the engine a little...just this modification will let you run 12 psi on the new rods and everything else stock...after that you can build the head a little bit (shave the cam for a turbo), new valve springs, valves etc...are you planning on going custom or do you want a kit?

I think that the stock rods are beefy enough

shave the cam for a turbo
The stock cam is very conservative from the factory. A slitghtly higher lift/duration cam will see major benefits.

Budget for tuning. 2-4 hours on a dyno will save your engine more than anything else will.

I had 105000 miles on my F22b1 when I went turbo and its running strong.

are you SURE 10psi is safe on a stock F22B1..? i've always been told that 6-7 psi is recommended... my friend with GSR w/ DRAG turbo used to boost 10 psi daily and 12 psi max and his motor eventually called it quits...

f22 has lowe compression and stronger rods than a b18c1, that is why you can run more boost.

the gsr motor was meant for NA tuning more than the f22...it's higher compression pistons lead to detonation more often and more has to be done to the block internally to hold 10 psi than that of an accord...

hmmm... would it be smart to boost 10psi daily on a stock F22B1 though..? i've been hearing a lot about the VAFC/450cc injectors hack where you can boost 10psi smoothly... but i'm not sure how VAFC adjusts the fuel settings accordingly when using a boost controller w/ low (6psi for example) and high (10psi for example) boost settings... i heard that i would have to run rich during low boost but at least my fuel settings would be able to handle the high boost...

Mods: pulleys, cam gear, fuel pressure regulator, fmu, vafc, boost controller, high flow cat, exhaust, ignition, wires, 500 cc injectors, fmax turbo kit (minus their fuel management).

Heres my best dyno:

wut diameter exhaust are you using? should 2 1/2" do good or should i go with 3" piping? also, are you using a FMIC?
also, i was looking on the f-max site and the kit it had listed for the accord said that it was for the 2.3, can it be used on the 2.2 that comes in my accorD?

I have 2.5" but 3" would be much better.

Yes I have an IC.

No on the slippage. NA I retarded 4 notches or 8 crank degrees. FI it lost power both ways so I have it at 0.
