Acl bearings
Have you guys ever heard of acl race series bearing wrecking oil pumps ? My oil pump is scrap and the inside looks like the gear has been grinding away against the case.

thousands of people use ACL bearings.
i have and iv been making people pee their pants riding in my car for a year now.
they are good bearings. it could be an unbalanced crank or you got peices of metal in it or the oil pump was duky poo from the beginning. it sux i know. just start over

The engine is a high compression (12.5:1) jdm b18c. I been told by someone that i should of balanced the rotating assemby when i put the engine together. I have also been told that not having it balanced would'nt of corsed a problem because the engine is already balanced well. He also said that its down to the fact that ive used ACL race series bearing and not oem ? ? ? ? ime puzzled. I carnt see why the bearing would cause a problem ? ? ?
^that guy is full of horse sh*t. ACL are better than oem. they have grooves for oil.
unless he you had the wrong size bearings in. which is possible.
all that rotating stuff has to match down to the .001

I did have the right bearing in 100 %. I was thinking he was full of **** to. Can you get beter than acl race series ? ? ? i dont think so. He was saying the bearing are bigger than oem and all the same size which causes a vibration threw the engine causing the pump to go. Do you think i just need to balance it ? i'll get some pic's of the pump up when i get chance.
