Default b16a1 valve adjustment as i type... need some help

this "vtec supplement" manual isnt detailed enough and the valve adjustment procedures dont match what i'm looking at because i see no lock nut...

TDC.. I matched the cam gear markings correctly, feelers still not sliding in .010. I'm doing something wrong. Someone post some pointers please.

Well, you have a manual, so just follow the step by step. You are starting on Cylinder #1 and at TDC, so then you should have .006"-.007" on the intake and .007"-.008" on the exhaust. Then you just follow the firing order while rotating the crankshaft and matching the next set of timming marks on the camgears!

yea i finished it 2 hours after that post, had a friend that's done it before come over and assist. I loosened and retightened every valve on top of the feeler. it seems the only accurate way to do it. (wanted to be able to check the space w/o adjusting, but i couldnt even get a .012 in there lubed and its supposed to be at 015-017. all 16 are done now, i dont really hear a difference in engine noise, but thats a good thing because they probably didnt need to be adjusted, just wanted to be on the safe side and have everything done right.
