you can run it safe with itr valvetrain but with those cams i would invest in the aftermarket just due that itr valvetrain can withstand up to 8500ish but i seen some aftermarket valvetrain handle 9000 or more.

I'd bet money that an ITR valve spring will bind on a SK2P2 cam.

Actually, I just confirmed it: max lift on an ITR spring is 11.5 mm and bind is at 11.7 mm. A Pro2 is way over that. Put in that cam with ITR springs and stock retainers, etc. and say bye-bye to your valvetrain. Do your homework and get the right stuff (Supertech or SK2 springs and retainers, perhaps).

Also, it's not so important whether the valvetrain can handle high revs, because what are you going to be doing at 9k anyways? As long as they can control the valves at reasonable operating speeds they'll be stiff enough for you. It's more important to make sure that the springs and retainers can handle the massive forces being imposed by the lifting motion of the cams, and that the springs can safely operate along their full range of travel.

x2! Unless you like valve float, and or piston to valve visitation, I would go with skunk2 COMPLETE valvetrain, mainly because they stand behind their products, and the parts are all built to work together. Testing their parts on their own vehicles also make me feel warm and fuzzy.

NO you cannot run those CAMS SAFELY with itr valvetrain!!!!

Those cams require s2 pro valvetrain or comparable off brand!

Good luck, some of the best cams out there, IMO!

If you do decide to use what you've got though, I wouldn't run it hard. The skunk2 stuff is proven, my build next month will definitely include their products.

if you decide to use ITR VT you should buy the skunk 1s not the 2s. also, if you're going after max power with the pro VT the pro1s or endyn bumpstix would be better money spent than the stage 2s
