about to pick up a 07 civic si k20z3 complete swap of craigslist for $2200.00. the owner of the swap claims i would need rsx k20 throttle body, wire harness, ecu because the k20z3 doesnt use a throttle cable. is this true and will i have change anything else on the z3 to run it in my ek? thanks

 

it prob has the fly by wire like the newer s2000's. Uses a magnet on the top the the gas pedal instead of a throttle cable

yes you will need the 04 rsx throttle body, the rsx wire harness, and a k-pro to make it work. Also you will need to get a rsx shift box and the cables, and the shifting mechanism on the trans if you want to have a clean swap. other wise the z3 shift box will be exposed on the ek without a center console since the z3 shift box is tooo bulky. but you cannot jus get an rsx shift box. you'll need the cables and the shifting mechanism. its a trip to put a z3 in an ek. plus dont forget all the other parts you'll need to put it in the car... If your willing to spend $2200 it's better to just build a D or swap a B in the car. But thats just my opinion. I hope this was helpful.
