Um, most people modify the 9005 bulb to fit in the 9006 socket for more light, not the other way around.
To do it, just hold each type of bulb up, notice where the center tab overlaps between them, chop off what doesn't overlap, and then pull out the internal ribs from inside of the connector.
Yes, I've done it. Super simple. Not really worth it though, and 9005 bulb life is very short.
