heres what i have...a 2000 civic hatchback. bone stock 2000 B18C1 motor, with stock civic exhaust. i went to the track a few weeks ago, and i ran a 15.6. i was disappointed, but i watched other EKs and DCs with gsr motors run...and they hit around the same time as me. but they had basic bolt ons, i was stock. ive always thought an EK with a gsr swap would run a high 14s to low 15s.
so i want to know how fast should i be running?
can you guys give me your run times and your setup, so i can compare?
if you dont have run times please dont reply.

15ish is average. eg with gsr motor is what i did.
depends on driving skills.
improve your launch and get better tires and try again.
ditch rear seats, spare tire, etc. try things.
no 2 cars are ever the same. they could have 400k miles on their motors.

i just had to make sure.

It all depends on alot of factors. But to me, 15s is not that bad. Especially if your not experience and running bone stock everything.... I ran a 16s in my h2b in an em1 many times.... LOL embarrassing i know........But after that you get used to it and just get better. Then stock free flowing the motor and your time should be better.I've seen gsr swap into em1 coupe running 14s easy.
Practice makes perfect at the track. I ran a low 16 in my stock EM1 the first time but after I made a couple passes my times progressively got better.

its been 7 years and ive finally got back into the scene. i may be a little rusty but i know what im doing. i get pretty good traction launching at 4000rpms on the street and 4500rpms at the track. this is my first swap. i just thought a stock gsr swap would run a little faster than 15s. at least thats what everyone says. so i just want to compare times.
it may be that i run with full interior...or my tiny stock dx exhaust holding me back.

H series engine and B series tranny, mated together via adapter plate. duHH, lol.
OP, you should know that your stock CIVIC exhaust needs to be replaced, come on. Factory ITR anc CTR is 2.5 and thats the from the factory so that should tell you something. If it is an Ek(hatchback) buy a CTR B pipe.

what were your 60ft times?
get some bolt ons and more practice time. your times should go down.
i had 99 hatch with a stock b16 in it. best i could do was 15.9.
i added i/h/e/ctr ecu and i ran a 14.7 on street tires.

thanks...well, i just got the swap in last month. christmas is coming up, so i havent looked into getting an exhaust yet.

First off there isnt much difference between full interior and maybe no back seats/spare tire...it helps but its not like you are gonna run 11's
Secondly, tires are a HUGE factor with fwd drag racing...you need at least drag radials to make any kind of decent time unless you practice ALOT on street tires. Most people dont get that kinda seat time so DRs or slicks are just easier for the best times.
Post your slip/ you probably have a 2.4-2.5 60ft which is killing your times among other things.
My 99 EK with a C5 went 13.6@101 w 2.0 60' with a tiny intake and 2.25 exhaust....I would imagine a GSR being a few tenths slower...somewhere in the low 14's..car weighed 2440 by itself and about 2600 or so with me in it.
Temps should be cooling down which helps with power but sometimes track prep takes a back seat and your just spinning too much.

That and your traps seem low for a healthy GSR motor... I would think it should be at least 94 or so...91 is US B16 territory lol

my other slip shows it, but i actually ran slower on that time. it was 2.526
i ran 15.784 on that one.
Nope, he didn't..it was a few replies up.

On streets youll have to practice feathering a little more and trying not to overpower them...I ran stiff sidewall tires with almost no give and could easily spin them if I wasnt careful..same result...2.4 60's and spining in first/second gears with times significantly off the pace.
As far as the H2B reply he should have quoted the kid for clarity - its off topic so lets focus on the OPs problem
I've never really seen a b-series swapped Civic run 15's... they're all usually mid 14's, unless theres something wrong with the car, or you just cant drive

thanks sergek9. i was feeling alot of wheel hop. ill need to start practicing feathering the clutch.
what would be an average good 60ft time? the lower the better?

Ouch, I used to get real bad wheel hop. Better tires, and shocks eliminated it, and made night/day difference when coming off the line.. which helps drop those times down more than you think.
