Default lost power during Spark test??? WTF

So my spark test revealed an orangishh blue spark, i know its supposed be bright white and im going to be testing the dizzy here pretty soon. but while i was doing the test i heard a loud "snap" or "pop" sound and my car was out of power completely. i checked all the fuses under the hood and they were fine...
im assuming i forgot to disconnect something before the test but if anyone has any ideas on why i lost power plz shed some light.

thanks,

Check the large fuses in the hood fuse box. What electrical devices do and do not work?

the large fuses are fine, only the "backup" fuse is gone,
everything electrical stopped functioning as soon as i heard the "pop" sound, its happened a couple times now. the electricity gradually starts working once i charge the battery.the noise sounds like it came from the dizzy or starter area tho
