how is tint homo? If anything is homo, its your remark void of any reason or logic.

Just tint the rear window as well as the rear passenger doors. As long as you dont tint your front windows you have no reason to get pulled over. Tint looks nice on cars as long as its not too dark

tint really isnt for me. but the postives of tint are that people have a harder time looking into certain places of your car, and temperatures are cooler with tint.

I thinted all the windows on my EG dark, even the strip across the windshield. It helps keep the car cool (I live in FL).

keep the tint legal and dont get mirror tint. keep it black and at the legal limit and you will be fine,
make sure you even allowed to tint your windows, which ones and how dark and you will be fine.

i like it, but would rather spend the 250 on something else.

I personally think tint looks good on mostly any car. I think dark in the back, lighter in the front looks the best. Wouldn't touch the windshield though, lookin' for trouble then.

I think you should definitely get it.

Helps block the sun and keeps your car cooler-
Gives you privacy-
Looks great on most cars-
Lasts a long time if its installed well-

I wouldn't recommend getting it for the rear window though unless its very light....it can be very hard to see at night and when its raining hard with tints on the rear windshield.

trust me I know a friend whos a cop in socal and thats one of the excuses he gives when he pulls over a suspected race looking car.. this is usually done at night but it gives him a reason to pull you over by saying how dark he thinks your tint is and if you try and take him to court about it being legal, he will just say that its at night therefore its hard to tell whether its legal or not... however its a good reason to pull you over and ask for your drivers license and id... dont get a tint unless you own something a little more luxurious. Spend your money on something better like a better alarm or something

I believe it's something like 75% in Cali (iirc). It's like not having tint at all.

I used to get all my cars tinted, but I'm starting to dislike them. The ones on my Civic is bubbling and looks like crap (bad tint job, I know), and I'm in the process of removing it. I think it looks much cleaner without. IF I were to get tints again, I'd probably go 50% all around.

^^^^ who gives a **** about real JDM. no one on here has a "real jdm" car.
I rock 15% all around on my civic. heres a few reasons:
1) theft, theives cant see if your car as well at night to steal stuff (seats, stereo, shift ***** etc)/ see alarm components
2) why spend all this money on nice carpet, seats dashes etc and have the sun destroy it?
3) I have no AC and my car is turbod, when it sits in the sun all day it helps to get in a car that is somewhat cooler.
4) my final reason is a personal preference, sorry ladies, but my car is 5" off the ground and if my GF gets in "that mood" when were driving home at night the truck drivers arent getting a free show.

So everyone that says "its not JDM" get a brain we live in america. we technically dont drive JDM cars (maybe .0001% of the cars on here really are true JDM vehicles). Anything that can keep a theif out, make life more comfortable and most important is something you like and want then who cares.

Sorry i blew up but this has always bugged me.

Absolutely correct. Been pulled over about 4 times because of that reason alone. Car looks dark, "racey", has dark tint. Cop tells me my tint is too dark and gives me a warning. Luckily though, each time it was just his excuse to pull me over and see what was up (DUI, stolen car, etc...). Can't blame them one bit though, they are just doing their job. I was thankful one time it was only two homes down where I live, it lets me know police have an eye out in my neighborhood. Each and every time though, he just let me go with a warning about the "tint", since I wasn't drinking or doing anything stupid.

I've got 5% all the way around(minus windshield) on my 99 EM1. I love it, but with my job I dont want people seeing who I am, or whats in my car. It just sucks *** when you reverse at night time...definitely have to put the windows down, but not a big enough deal to make me take it off. Check your local laws before doing anything with window tint, like others said, it gives us a reason to pull you over even though I never F*** with anyone for it unless I know theyre carryin some good sh*t. If you really want to tint your car, then do it... its your car and no one elses. GL!
