Default Swapping from LS to GSR FD

I have a GSR tranny with a Quaife and LS final Drive.

Do i have to change out the Quaife to a gsr quafe in order to run the GSR Final Drive?

It's a 4.400:1 that will fit the diff that you have.

will just the b16a ring gear work with the gsr countershaft since they are the same ratio? That would be more convenient.

It will work, but you'll have problems from not running a matched gear set.

Ive mixed gsr gears from other gsr tranny's and such, i find that stuff hard to believe. This is a drag only car anyways, so the wear of that type is negligible.

I've had a lot of trannys come in with pitting and chipping from unmatched gears. A local had his trans rebuilt locally by a generic trans shop and brought it to me after a dozen or so passes (not a street car). Unmatched gears were pitted and starting to chip.
