jumping out of gear while parked?
Alright i got this 97 civic and if i park it on a hill and put it into first gear (manual tranny) it will jump out of gear on its own sometimes 2nd will hold the car in place. Is this a tranny issue or a clutch issue? Normally driving it i had no clutch problems. Getting ready to put it all back together after having to get another engine replacement and not sure if i should put old tranny back in or install a ex tranny i have sitting in the garage and if i really need to spend the money on another clutch?
Thanks in advance

try correct forum... EK forums... you're in 06+ ...secondly if it's popping out it's because trans are really ment to hold a car thats why a parking brake exists, but reguardless it's probably because your gears are worn and are lose on the mesh cauing it to pop out under high pressure?
oh sorry i clicked on wrong forums. My apologies...but with i was having a issue with the parking brake not holding the car as i couldnt get it adjusted so i had to try to park it in my driveway with it in gear and noticed the problem. Thanks for the input though.
