Default Over revved wtf did i hurt.....

Well i know hurt something just don't know to what extent. This is a freshly built sleeved b16 with a precision 6262 the head has springs and retainers only.. The setup has 1,050 miles on it but yesterday i was clowning around trying to scare my girl with a 3rd gear pull.. But my damn floormat got caught in the gas pedal and when i let off it, it held it wide open at 9500 rpm luckily it had a rev limiter.. I shut it off while it was wide open at 9500 probably for a good 2-3 seconds banging the rev limiter because intially i thought the throttle cable or something stuck wide open..

I figured out it was the floormat, restarted the car no symptoms at all.. I then shut it off for about 20 minutes when i got home and when i restarted it the valves were tapping pretty bad but went away after i gave it gas.. Now everytime after that i have bad valve tap on startup especially this morning when it was completely cold..

The car seems to run fine i did alil pull up to about 7k just to see how it acted but i was alil nervous about running it to 9500. I have no noticable loss of power just noisy valve..

Is it possibly the valves came out of spec and i need to get the valves adjusted?

Is it possible i slightly bent a valve?

what else can i look for?

Also check valve lash. could need adjustment after valve float like that.

even before the compression test, this needs to be addressed.

once the lash is correct, then do a compression test.
