i got a 92 si hatch and i just put a 94 gsr motor in it. has stock obd1 gsr ecu
here the problem..
when i start the car its fine n runs good but when i drive it n it get warmed up the motor starts to bog down when i hit the gas n finally dies...
i have to chill on the side of the road 4 a long as time till it cools down a bit to start it up cuz it wont start after it dies.
the temp says the car is not over heating n the fan runs perfect n i got a new radiator for it.
i been hella looking around on sites tryna find out if anyone had the same problem but cant so im really asking for help thanks

 

are you throwing any codes and check all your vacuum lines and sensors to start with

 

that could be many things. First check to see if your fuel pump primes fine (whenever it dies again), then check for spark, then fuel, Check your vacuum lines and make sure all your fuel lines are tight and no air is getting in there. Check the main relay cause i kinda had this problem where when the cabin heated up a little the contacts on the main relay (cracked after so many years) separate therefore killing the car, i bought a main relay from pep boys which when i opened up looked way more stronger and better than the oem honda one. check for codes as well and see if your cei turns on when the car dies.
