jdm gsr swapped into dc2 not starting
Hey I just bought and installed this jdm gsr swap. There is fuel and spark and the car cranks up, but does not fire start up. While trying to crank it, a lot of white smoke blew out of the throttle body, this only happened on the first initial start up. After the first start up, it didn't blow any smoke anymore. I feel like it wants to start, but something is holding it back.
Oil is leaking around the head gasket, right beneath the v-tec solenoid.
my friend is telling me the timing is off, but i'm looking for more answers. I think it's more than just the timing issue.

my car is a 1994 gsr, the motor is a jdm 95 gsr.
I will recheck the grounds, first. Do a compression test, next. then recheck timing/distributer/ cap n rotor/ and sensors.
oil is leaking a little bit on the v-tec solenoid, would this cause the car not to start? I really doubt it.
It might be the grounds, time to make sure it's getting enough contact.
I'm running the ecu that the guy gave me when I bought the motor, i can't verify the ecu because the sticker/tags was removed.
I also tried starting the car with my usdm p72 gsr ecu, with the same results
thanks guys

check the plugs, wiring, grounds and if nothing else swap back on your old distrubutor. you really have no clue if the jdm dizzy you have is good. most the time they are but it's 5 minutes to change and lets you rule out one more thing. also, print out that picture above and double check your firing order.
this shouldn't be hard to track down if you keep track of your troubleshooting and do a few tests. first should be fuel psi, next would be spark. if you have both spark and fuel there is a timing issue.
