GSR EGR valve helppp!!

Default GSR EGR valve helppp!!

okay i swapped a 0bd2 gsr engine into my 94 hatch. the egr valve on my motor isnt connected to anything. there should be a hose connecting to something and idk what. can some one help?

p.s. is it bad that its not connected to anything?

then what's the little valve to the right of my intake mani? a vaccum hose should be coming from it.

that little valve next to the intake mani is for the butterflys in the manifold. gsr motors do not have an egr valve.

ohh. well what does the hose that should be attached to it go to? and is it bad that its not connected to anything?

it should be hooked up to a vacuum....if it's not hooked up, they stay open.
The IAB butterflies are normally closed before 5800 RPM. The butterflies cover the short intake runners. To close the runners, vacuum must be applied via the IAB solenoid, which was unplugged in your case. (Watch the butterfly linkage engage when you start the car.) You were always on the short runners, which should have reduced your low-end torque.

gsr head has an egr port that is not machined in cylinder 4
although i never seen an egr on a real engine. supposedly UK cars have it
wikipedia has a very good explanation of what egr system does

Are you talking about Evaporative purge valve? If so the one on top of the manifold on the OBD2 won't plug into yours as its a round style connector. It won't throw a code on OBD1 but if emissions is very picky where you live you'll fail.
