Default GM Friction Modified vs non

hey guys I'm gonna put some of this GM SYNCROMESH (probably AC Delco since thats what i can get my hands on and its the same stuff from what i read) but i'm not clear on whether or not i should get FRICTION MODIFIED or not.

Is it true it only works wonders for the LSD tranny?
I drive a '92 LS. Will it help my YS1 tranny at all with the FM? or just get regular synchromesh?

Should be fine on your cable tranny.

Yes Friction Modified is great because your syncros relies upon friction to work properly.

What's your problem with your transmission? FYI just using transmission fluid will not fix any major problems.

Going to have to say friction modified is what you need. AC delco stuff is the same. works great.

i get a little grind shifting from 2nd to 3rd.
80% of the time it's in the morning when my engines not completely warmed up yet.
from what i read online the FM might cure this
